We were standing in Florida watching a thunderstorm (our favorite and the very thing that brought us together the first time) when I realized it would be the perfect time to propose. But I didn't have a ring...

15 days later, the ring was engraved and the cookies were baked.

We couldn't be happier.

We'll be getting married one year and 11 months to the day after we began dating.

Our ceremony will be in the Rose Garden at Minnetrista in Muncie with a reception to follow in the Cantina room.

There will be a block of rooms reserved under Kaplan/Caristi wedding at the Signature Inn and the Comfort Inn and Suites for Friday and Saturday night.

Make sure you let them know them know that you're reserving rooms for the Kaplan/Caristi wedding.

The Signature Inn is $67 a night, and Comfort Inn is between $73 and $86 depending on what type of room you want.  Both hotels have indoor pools, continental breakfast and free wi-fi.  The Signature Inn also has a hot tub, but the Comfort Inn is much newer (having just opened in August of 2008).

Those with children:
There will be babysitting services provided during the reception on Saturday evening.  Movies and pizza will be provided for the children at the Signature Inn in one of the meeting rooms.

We will be leaving for Thailand to teach English on May 23rd (a mere four days after the wedding).  We will be registering for a few items such as suitcases and travel books at Target, but we would greatly appreciate monetary gifts as we will have limited space to store traditional household items.
